Telephone lines were open for viewer comments on immigration reform. The previous day a bipartisan group of eight senators presented their bill for an overhaul of immigration laws, and later in the day President Obama was to outline his immigration reform proposal in Las Vegas.

Humberto Sanchez spoke by phone about some of the details of the Senate proposal. It would improve border security and immigration status checks performed by employers, streamline the process for future immigrants entering the U.S., and open a path to citizenship for the 11 million illegal immigrants currently living in the country. close
