John Donahoe talked about the future of eBay, describing efforts to take advantage of growth in mobile commerce. He called the congressional impasse over the budget deficit “enormously frustrating,” encouraging President Obama and Congress to consider a framework similar to the Simpson-Bowles National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform plan. A former colleague of Mitt Romney’s at Bain & Company, Mr. Donahoe confessed that he supported President Obama in his bid for re-election, mostly because his wife was U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Human Rights Council. close
