Mike Kelly talked about a first edition copy of about The Authentic Life of Billy the Kid, which is one of the rarest items of Western Americana. The first printing was in 1882. The University has 1 of 6 known original copies of the book written and signed by author Pat Garrett. It was the 3 millionth volume the library received.
