Captain Robert N. Geis, commanding officer of Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia, toured the station and talked about naval military flight and its role in history. Naval Air Station Oceana was commissioned on August 17, 1943, and is a complex with more than seven miles of runways, 16,000 employees, and 19 Navy fighter squadrons. Naval Air Station Oceana is also the largest employer in Virginia Beach.
