John Holdren gave the keynote address at an American Association for the Advancement of Science forum on science and technology policy. He outlined the Obama administration’s fiscal year 2014 budget request for research and development. He also discussed President Obama’s science initiatives; science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education, and global climate change.

Following Mr. Holdren’s address, Matthew Hourihan provided an overview of past and current trends of government funding for science and technology. He also analyzed President Obama’s fiscal year 2014 budget request. close
