Republican Presidential candidate Pat Buchanan belittled the foreign policy experience of Democratic presidential nominee Governor Bill Clinton (D-AR) during his address to the Republican National Convention. Mr. Buchanan assailed the policies set forth by Governor Clinton and his running mate Senator Al Gore (D-TN), claiming Governor Clinton’s foreign policy experience amounted to eating at the International House of Pancakes. He also assailed Mr. Clinton’s wife Hillary for her views on the rights of children and women, calling it “radical feminism.” Prior to Mr. Buchanan’s remarks, during Mary Summa’s introduction cameras recorded Vice President Dan Quayle and his wife entering the floor of the convention. close
