MIT Professor and former fighter pilot Missy Cummings said aerial drones were revolutionizing the agriculture sector and will likely do the same for the cargo transport industry in the next ten years. Professor Cummings also said the military’s use of drones had saved lives. She’s joined on the panel by Michael Toscano, CEO of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems.

“A New Technology Takes Flight” was part of the forum “The Drone Next Door,” held by the Future Tense partnership between the New America Foundation, Arizona State University and Slate magazine. close
