Secretary of State John Kerry and the Ambassador Johnson-Cook released the annual State Department report on abuses of religious freedom abroad. The report outlines specific infringements on religious freedom by other governments in 2012 and areas where governments have allowed others to restrict religious freedom through violence or intimidation. Secretary Kerry also announced the appointment by President Obama of Ira Forman as the special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism. Ambassador Johnson-Cook responded to questions from reporters in the briefing room. close
