Governor Terry Branstad (R-IA) and former Governor Haley Barbour (R-MS) commemorated the Iowa soldiers who fought and died during the Siege of Vicksburg. They spoke at a rededication of the Iowa State Monument, which honors the contributions of Iowa troops to the Union victory.
