Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley and Air Force Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh held a news conference on the state of the Air Force. Secretary Donley said the effects of sequestration defense cuts were already taking a toll on the Air Force and creating a readiness crisis. General Welsh provided an update on the F-35 joint strike fighter program.
