House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reviewed the Democratic legislative agenda during her weekly press briefing. She responded to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s assertion that the the House failed to pass its farm bill due to a lack of Democratic votes, saying the vote was “major amateur hour” for Republicans and that 62 members of the party voted against their own bill. She was joined in the briefing by House Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), and both urged House Republicans to appoint conference committee members to negotiate with the Senate to reach a budget agreement. close
