Joshua Zive and Bob Deans talked about President Obama’s plan for addressing climate change. The proposal released earlier in the week calls for more regulatory efforts at coal plants, money for clean-air technologies, and new efficiency goals for appliances. They gave their perspectives on what the goals would accomplish, how fossil fuel industries would be affected, and related topics such as the future of the Keystone XL pipeline and President Obama’s choice to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. They responded to video clips of Senators Durbin (D-IL) and McConnell (R-KY) speaking in the Senate on June 25, 2013. The guests responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. close
