George Washington in the Revolutionary War
Bobbi Jackson gave a news update on C-SPAN Radio at the end of the program.
Logan Beirne talked by video link from New York City about how George Washington’s performance during the Revolutionary War affected his role as first president of the United States, his influence on the Constitution, and how he governed under it. He argued that the American Revolution not only directly influenced the creation of the Constitution, but also how President Washington dealt with specific issues under it such as war strategy, military tribunals, and treatment of enemy combatants. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
