Korean War veteran Joseph Owen talked about the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, in which U.S. Marines faced freezing weather and 67,000 Chinese troops. Mr. Owen said that as the Korean War broke out, he was a young U.S. Marine anxious to get into the fight, and that the war would end before he could get there. Instead, he and his men found themselves in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. He also talked about his service during World War II. His story was recorded by the Korean War Veterans Digital Memorial Foundation. close
