U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman testified on the Obama administration’s trade agenda. He said that an Asia-Pacific trade deal including Japan could be finished by the end of 2013 and assured the committee members that Japan had made concessions in its trade barriers to allow more U.S. cars to be imported into Japan. Other topics included ongoing trade negotiations with the European Union and investment treaties with China, India, and Pakistan. close
