Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Representative Xavier Becerra (D-CA) talked about the prospects of immigration reform legislation in Congress. They both said they were hopeful a final version of the immigration legislation would pass the House and Senate during the year and that it would include a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. Topics included securing the borders and recent remarks by Representative Steve King (R-IA). Then other supporters of immigration reform held a panel discussion. Mr. Vargas talked about his recent decision to reveal that he was an undocumented worker.
