Abraham Awolich, one of Sudan’s “Lost Boys” spoke at an education summit held by the U.S. Agency for International Development. He was displaced from his village in 1988 during the Sudanese civil war. Some 20,000 children became refugees during that conflict.

Carol Bellamy, former executive director of UNICEF, talked about educating children in conflict zones.
