Pentagon officals briefed reporters about new Department of Defense sexual assault prevention and response initiatives. The proposals included expanding an advocacy program for victims to all branches of the military, creating a uniform definition for inappropriate relationships ,and new procedures for reassigning those accused of committing assault. Spokesperson George Little also commented on President Obama’s decision to cancel a planned joint military exercise with Egypt in response to the violence in that country. close
