Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and China’s Minister of National Defense General Chang Wanquan held a news briefing. Secretary Hagel discussed the decision by the U.S. and China to expand defense exchanges and exercises. He also highlighted the U.S.-China cyber working group and announced that he would visit China in 2014. In addition, when asked about the situation in Egypt, Secretary Hagel said protecting Americans in Egypt was the highest priority, and he stated the U.S. was reviewing every aspect of its relationship with Egypt when asked about pulling out all aid or the shipping of Apache helicopters. close
