Steve O’Bryan talked about the future of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter program. The Pentagon was planning to build over 2,400 of these advanced technology aircraft for use by all branches of the U.S military. Topics included its estimated cost of $1.5 trillion; administrative problems, cost over-runs, and technical glitches; capabilities and mission; and congressional support and oversight

Elliott Clemence gave a “tour” of the F-35 simulator fighter plane cockpit. He also talked about and showed the F-35 pilot helmet.

Both guests participated from the F-35 Demonstration Center in Arlington, Virginia.

C-SPAN Radio’s Nancy Calo read news headlines at the end of the program. close
