Helen Darling presented the results of the National Business Group on Health’s annual plan design survey, which questioned 265 large employers on changes to their health care benefits, from costs to coverage. She said that costs were projected to rise by seven percent, the same as in 2013, and that the Affordable Care Act would not have a large effect on employers in 2014, as they had already implemented the law. Other topics included controlling health care costs. Questions from reporters at the National Press Club focused on specialized areas of the health care law, including private versus public exchanges, changes to COBRA, and coverage for spousal and domestic partners. close
