Doug Jones, Jr., talked about the September 15, 1963, bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and its importance to the civil rights movement. He spoke by remote video link from across the street from the church on the 50th anniversary of the bombing that killed four little girls. Mr. Jones, who prosecuted two of the bombers in the late-1990s and early 2000s, talked about the case. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
