Glenn Eskew talked about the September 15, 1963, bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and its importance to the civil rights movement. He spoke by remote video link from across the street from the church on the 50th anniversary of the bombing that killed four little girls. Professor Eskew is the author of But for Birmingham: The Local and National Movements in the Civil Rights Struggle. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
