Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State John Kerry, and Joint Chiefs Chair Martin Dempsey testified on the Obama administrations’s case for the use of military force against Syria. They emphasized that any military action would be limited in scope and duration, and designed to diminish the Syrian capacity to further employ chemical weapons. They also warned of the consequences and potential regional inability should the U.S. not take action. close
