Lieutenant General Mark Milley briefed reporters by video from Afghanistan on the ongoing handover of security responsibilities from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to Afghan forces. He said that Afghan security forces were leading 90 percent of military operations while ISAF forces continued to assist, train, and support operations. He noted the high causality rate for Afghan forces, 50-100 a week, but said the U.S. continued to work with ISAF on strategy and medical evacuations. close
