Admiral Jonathan Greenert talked about the state of the U.S. Navy. He focused on the impact of sequestration budget cuts and what the Navy might look like in 2023 based in on the findings from the Pentagon’s Strategic Choices and Management Review. Other topics included combating sexual assaults in the military and options for possible strikes against Syria. Admiral Greenert used some slides during his presentation, after which he was interviewed by American Enterprise Institute visiting fellow former Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) and responded to questions from members of the audience. close
