Professor Ruth Wedgwood talked about the International Criminal Court and the chance Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will be charged with war crimes. She spoke about the history and establishment of the International Criminal Court, and the process by which it pursues accused war criminals. Ms. Wedgewood said that the Syrian President will likely not be charged with war crimes, because of Syria’s close relationship with Russia and the likelihood of a Russian veto. close
