Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and other House Republican leaders spoke to reporters about federal spending and the health care law. Speaker Boehner said that the House would not accept the Senate’s version of the continuing resolution that had already passed in the House. Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) said the House would submit a debt ceiling bill to reduce energy costs, reform tax code, reduce spending, and delay the implementation of all of the Affordable Care Act for one year. close
