Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas addressed members of the United Nations General Assembly. In his speech he said that his government’s quest to raise the their status does not aim at “de-legitimizing an existing state of Israel". He talked about the "continuing settlement construction activity on Palestinian land” and called on the international “condemn and put an end to any actions on the ground” that would undermine future negotiations. close
