Matthew Segal, co-founder of Our Time, talked about the reaction from younger Americans on the government shutdown, Affordable Care Act (ACA), unemployment, as well as how his group is trying to encourage political activism in America’s youth. He described his group as socially liberal but fiscally concerned. He responded to an ad from Generation Opportunity prompting “opting out” of the ACA. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications, including a telephone line for those aged 18-30. close
