Archivist Matthew Peek talked about the rare films and archival photos of Montana’s Democratic Senator Lee Metcalf, the longest-serving Senate Majority Leader. At the time of filming, the Montana Historical Society was processing hundreds of photos and video of Metcalf before and during his time in office.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2013 LCV Cities Tour” in Helena, Montana, from October 7-11 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. close
