The Friends of the National World War II Memorial and the National Park Service held a Veterans Day ceremony to pay tribute to the more than 16 million men and women who served with the U.S. armed forces during World War II. During the event, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe unveiled the U.S. Postal Service’s new stamp honoring World War II Medal of Honor recipients. The event included the U.S. Armed Forces Color Guard and the U.S. Air Force Band Brass Quintet. close
