House and Senate leaders held a ceremony to honor Native American code talkers. They told the stories of some of the members of Native American tribes who served in WWI and WWII, using their native languages to encode messages sent between troops. A Congressional Gold Medal was presented to each of 33 tribes recognized at the ceremony, which included prayers, the U.S. Army Band and Chorus, and the U.S. Armed Forces Color Guard. close
