More than 300 members of Great Britain’s youth parliament, ages 11 to 18, gathered in the British House of Commons for their annual debate. The students debated five topics that would be considered for their national campaign. In this portion, closing remarks were made and the students voted that of the topics that had been debated that day, voting rights for teens should be the focus for the coming year. Speaker of the House John Bercow, who presided, commented on the controversy over whether the Youth Parliament should be seated in the House of Commons. close
