Josh Earnest briefed reporters on the president’s schedule and agenda and answered their questions. He confirmed reports that the U.S. had suspended all further delivers of non-lethal assistance to Syria. He said the White House was concerned about reports that Islamic forces had seized buildings belonging to the opposition. Principal Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest also took questions on John Podesta “removing” himself from issues relating to the Keystone pipeline when he begins to work as a special adviser to the White House is because the pipeline was a “state department project.” He clarified that Mr. Podesta was not “recusing” himself.
