Each of the former chairs recounted their time at the Fed and the crises they dealt with while at the Federal Reserve. Chair Bernanke also defended the Fed’s monetary policies thus far to recover from the current economic crisis. The event also included a ceremonial signing of a certificate commemorating the signing of the Federal Reserve Act by each of the current members of the Board of Governors and each Reserve Bank president. Short videos were shown about the history of the Federal Reserve.
