Two NASA astronauts, Mike Hopkins and Rick Mastracchio, conducted the second of a series of spacewalks to make repairs to the coolant system on the International Space Station. On December 11, 2013, an external cooling line failed forcing the crew to turn off all nonessential equipment and stop scientific research.

In this portion of the space walk they transported a new ammonia pump for the cooling system while Koichi Wakata operated the robotic arm.

The space walk was aired live by NASA TV with commentary by Rob Navias. close
