Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) briefed reporters on health care issues in the 1992 election following a meeting for supporters of the Clinton/Gore ticket for the presidency. Sen. Rockefeller, a member of the Pepper Commission on health care, criticized the Bush administration for failing to adequately address the health care needs of Americans, and called for the election of Democratic presidential nominee Gov. Bill Clinton to change the nation’s health care policies. close
