Jason Furman, chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, talked about the U.S. economic outlook for fiscal year 2014 with reporters at a “Monitor Breakfast” held by the Christian Science Monitor. He predicted that the country had moved beyond what he called the “fiscal drag” on the economy. He also spoke about raising the debt ceiling, and answered questions from reporters on the goals outlined by President Obama in his 2014 State of the Union address. close
