Former congressional staff member Mike Lofgren talked about his book, The Party Is Over: How Republicans Went Crazy, Democrats Became Useless, and the Middle Class Got Shafted. In addition, he spoke about his op-ed piece on the memoir released by former Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Mr. Lofgren suggested that Secretary Gates' representation of Congress and the administration should be viewed as “grinding his axes.” He also shared his experiences from his 28 years as a congressional staff member. close
