President Obama spoke at Buck Lodge Middle School in Adelphi, Maryland, about ensuring opportunity for all. He talked about his goal of connecting 99 percent of students to broadband and wireless technology within five years. He announced that the Federal Communications Commission would contribute two billion dollars as a down payment to connect 15,000 schools and 20 million students to broadband and he announced $750 million in corporate contributions to expanding technology in America’s classrooms. close
