Phil Taylor was interviewed by telephone about House debate on a bill expanding hunting and fishing on public lands. Mr. Taylor said that the bill would give the “legal teeth” to the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service to expand opportunities for hunting, fishing, and target shooting on public lands and would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from restricting lead ammunition and fishing tackle on public lands. The bill is a combination of eight public lands bills and the administration opposes parts but not all of the bill. close
