Appearing at the White House briefing, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced a new plan to target climate change. Secretary Vilsack announced the creation of seven regional “climate hubs” that would assist farmers and rural communities with the impacts of climate change. The hubs would be station in Iowa, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon, and New Mexico. He also talked about the Farm Bill which had just been passed. After Secretary Vilsack responded to questions from the reporters, White House spokesperson Jay Carney briefed reporters and responded to questions on topics including jobs, the economy, and Syria. close
