They provided an overview of the series, focusing on some of the more well-known first ladies, and on how the role of women and the role of first lady had evolved throughout U.S. history. Highlights from the series were shown, including guests, vignettes, and video clips of first ladies. Also shown was an interview with Don Levy, director of the Siena Research Institute, giving the results of the Siena/C-SPAN First Ladies Poll ranking the first ladies.
