Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) complained about House leaders allowing a voice vote on the “doc fix” bill without informing members. Representative Gohmert vowed to never let that happen again, and bemoaned the fact that he could not “trust” his own leadership. The “doc fix” bill was an annual measure to delay for a year the 24 percent cut in Medicare payments to physicians that would have begun April 1, 2014. close
