Justice Sonia Sotomayor talked about her career as a prosecutor, district judge, appellate judge, and Supreme Court justice. She stressed the importance of relationships and public service. She also discussed being a minority and breaking barriers for Latinas. Justice Sotomayor was interviewed by Professor Pasachoff. During questions from the audience when she was asked what she reads for pleasure, she said she loves science fiction, the Harry Potter series, and books about “dragons and elves and dwarfs and things like that.” This Marver H. Bernstein Symposium was held in Gaston Hall at Georgetown University. close
