Journalists, politicians, and celebrities gathered for the White House Correspondents' Association Annual Dinner. President Obama and comedian and actor Joel McHale made humorous remarks about politics and the media. President Obama used slides and a cameo by Secretary Sebelius during his speech. A video co-produced by the History television channel to celebrate the centennial of the White House Correspondents' Association was shown. A humorous video was shown of Vice President Joe Biden and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, star of the television show “Veep.” It included appearances by first lady Michelle Obama and Representatives John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi. Journalism awards and scholarships were presented, with the assistance of Mrs. Obama. close
