Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer spoke about Israel’s foreign relations. He talked about Israel’s suspension of talks with Palestine the previous week after the Palestine Authority announced a reconciliation deal with Fatah-Hamas. He said that if Hamas, which denies Israel’s right to exist, was at the negotiating table Israel would not be there. He also said that Iran was the number one issue and must be prevented from having nuclear weapon, or missiles for carrying nuclear warheads. He was also concerned about nuclear weapons being disseminated from Iran.
