Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellenn testified at a Joint Economic Committee hearing about the state of the U.S. economy. She said that she expected economic activity to move at a faster pace during the year, but warned that a slowing housing market delivered a “cautionary note” and that the Federal Reserve needed to continue to spur the economy until inflation and unemployment rates changed.
