President Madison, co-author of the Federalist Papers, was integral to the management of the Louisiana Purchase and led the country during the War of 1812. Ms. Cheney discussed her book with her husband, former Vice President Dick Cheney, at the Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California. close
